Sweet Escape to HK ~ Lan Kwai Fong

Lan Kwai Fong, a place where people go for a drinking and clubbing, a small streets in Central, HongKong. Read it from Wikipedia, that area suppose was dedicated to hawkers before Second World War.

It seems like it's a 'must visit' place while travelling to Hong Kong but to me there's other places in Hong Kong is much more interesting than here...

The view of Lan Kwai Fong in night time is totally different compare to day time. I was passing by this street again the next day and I didn't realize there's the place where I came last night. No more happening pubs or bars but just a busy crowded street before the moon comes out!

Met up with one of friend, Felina who works as Stewardess for Cathay. Nice catching up with her for a drink.

If it's entertainment and nightlife you seek, you've come to the right place. A hub of trendy restaurants, teeming bars and chic nightclubs renowned worldwide for being a hedonist's paradise. Located in the heart of Central, the area attracts both tourists and locals alike, all seeking fun and good time.

Bumped into some youngster who share their art of music in Lan Kwai Fong. Dance and sing as they like... I personally prefer this kind of music more than any music from the pub or bar in Lan Kwai Fong.

The Sweet Escape to Hong Kong

I had a "sweet" escape from Penang to Hong Kong with Danny! Na.. it's not the first time I've been there but due to the reason of Mr.Danny can't speak a fluent Cantonese so it's my honor to be his tour guide. Going to Hong Kong doesn't not make me feel strange as people over there speak the same language as me.

But there's something really surprised me when I reached the hotel! TaDa!!! The 'BIGass' hotel that I ever stayed. ><..... it's so small but there's nothing much you can complain about it... There's a bathroom for you to bath, pee and poo; there's a TV for you to watch some TV show; they also provided you the hair dryer and kettle. It's considered as a complete set for a hotel room but the space of it is just so..... impressed me... =.='

Our sweet escape is just about to start....

Hong Kong, a lively city where modern skyscrapers meet cultures of the past. And we are going to enjoy our 6 days holiday in this place...

It's Just That You Don't Know Me Well

People say I've changed. I used to be very aggressive to chase my dreams, always the one who walk in front among my friends. To know I want and to grab what I want for myself. And now... you can say my life style is totally different compare to few years ago.

To be frank, I don't really give a shit on how 'successful' I am as long as long as my life is not that suck until I can't afford to buy a meal. All I care about is am I really enjoying my 'everyday'! Life is just once and it has no repeat. It's crazy how fast everything is going. Year after year, it seems like it gets faster and faster. I honestly don't know how much I've changed but I know I miss it when I was younger, though.

And yes! I gotta admit myself is not as aggressive as last time. But yet, I never let go my dreams before, never! I'm just taking each step of mine slowly. To enjoy the journey before I reach the destination.

It's always better to travel well than to arrive. We are not humans being on a spiritual journey, we are spirituals being on a human journey. I can run, walk or fly, but I just don't want lose sight of the reason for the journey or miss a chance to see rainbow on the way.

To my beloved friends, if anyone of you still wondering where the 'Old' Ong Lai Mun has gone to. I'm now telling you that I'm still the same old me. The only difference is I take thing more easily. Meanwhile, taking thing easily doesn't mean I don't have an aim in my life.

I'm proud to say it out I feel very happy of what I have right now in this moment. I live everyday meaningfully. I'm still the Ong Lai Mun who you used to know. If you feel strange, it's just that you don't know my well.

Forgetting other people's opinion about myself. I live for myself but not for the others. I understand that everyone has their different purpose of life. And I have mine, too! =)

You will never know where am I heading to until the day you see me reach the destination I wanted to go long long time ago.....

The Mews Restaurant and Cafe

One of the reason I Love Penang because I like something antique and I simply find it here!

Mews Cafe! One of the herritage concept cafe in Penang town. It's a haven place for relaxation which hide in Munti Street. Actually it's a cafe of a boutique hotel but I gotta say that I am attracted by it's environment and the design.

I had forgotten the name =.='' but it's something about duckling and creamy sauce.

Sadly to say that this cafe doesn't offer varied of food as others but there's definitely something for everyone. I heard my friend said that it's kinda famous with it's Nyonya food. And the food that I ordered is surprising me as it taste good!
